A Bit About Alex

By trade, Alex is a skilled and experienced plasterer and project manager. He has over 25 years of construction industry experience, across the UK and Australia. This includes more than 15 years of local experience within the Northern Territory.


As AJ Plastering NT’s founder and Managing Director, Alex has demonstrated extensive capabilities in delivering high-standard internal linings and fit-out services. Alex has an astute awareness of, and the ability to overcome, unique challenges wall and ceiling systems face in tropical climates.


Since the inception of AJ Plastering NT, in July 2017, Alex has demonstrated a tireless commitment to delivering exemplary services on behalf of the business.  Alex has successfully driven AJP’s strategic direction, business development and economic growth to ensure business sustainability.

Alex holds:

  • Advanced Technical Diploma in Plastering (Construction) (UK)

  • Diploma in Project Management

  • Certificate IV in Leadership and Management

  • Certificate IV in Business

  • Elevating Work Platform – High Risk Work (EWP Licence)

  • Aviation Security Identification Card (ASIC)

  • Defence Common Access Card (DCAC)

  • First Aid

  • OCHRE Card

Alex is also a passionate supporter of MATES in Construction and is a volunteer MATES Connector. In September 2023, Alex trekked the 96km Kokoda Trail in Papua New Guinea to raise money for the charity.
